Deviance.........

saturday morning while working at my job i notice a men was been deviant in the way that he is breaking a gender behavior.I say this because this men was with his wife and he was wearing a purse instead of his wife.It was funny and weird seeing a men with a purse.But then when it got the time to charge them in the cashier for their groceries they gave an explanation why he was caring that purse.He told his wife, " omg, you always give me your purse to carry it and people are going to think im from the other path way (gay)." his wife only laughed and i did to.Because he said he always has to carry it.He was been deviant at first for breaking a social norm by doing a opposite gender job that make people look at him weird and see him as a un normal person for having a female object.

This story is related to sociology because in society many people act deviant.Deviant is breaking a social norm that make you be seen as un normal or weird.

Resocialization!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When i was little i went to pioneer School for 2 years after that i moved to Currier school, which Currier school had a different society than pioneer school.I say this because at pioneer school the teachers were so mean and they wouldn't really care about their students.And the other students at the classes were mean and disrespectful and very violent.I say this because i had a bad year there once i was a new student to the school and class.On the other hand Currier school was the bomb, because everyone there was completely so nice and  respectful with no insults and violence.well, what i want to talk about is that when i got transfer to Currier school i had to learn there society roles to adapt to their society.From transferring from pioneer school to Currier school and learning a new culture after been  socialized to one is called Resocialization.Which in this case i experienced the term of resocialization because i had to leave back my culture from pioneer to start the new culture from Currier which it was the version of been a good student and be respectful and nice.Which it was the way i wanted to assist to a school like that because i hated pioneer school because the other students at my class would insult me or they would steal my things and they would hit me and i would tell my teacher but she wouldn't do nothing.all i would do was cry and tell my mom i hated school.When i got adapted to the Currier school i would tell my mom i loved that school.

I think that my story is an example of resocialization because i got transfer from one place to another and my  job was to learn a new culture from that new place.And i did learn it!!! And that's how we got to see The term RESOCIALIZATION.

IN sociology we were talking about role models who are negatine influences to girl.Well know i think i know who is a bad influence to boys but the age of teens.The person i thought its chris Brown because he is a rebel teen ans he does violent things like when he hit rhiana.He commited a crime of domestic violence to the victim rhiana which is a bad negative influence for teens because they get the message of abusing girls or commiting the same crimes as him.I say this because many teens are so much into listening his music then they would know everything about him and they would what to be like him.Another message that chris Brown brings to teens is to do drugs and live their life crazy with no one interfering.

this is related to sociology because many role models from the world bring out many negative influences for the teens and children because they are the easiest  person to get their atttention form sense they get intertain so easily from any kind of music and fun activities.

Chinese Mothers Are Superior...........

I feel undecided on this article of the "chinese mothers" because i see the chinese parenting as a mean way and a good/helpful way to teach their childs the right ways of life.Its good that the parents thought their childrens to not be lazy and to never give up on their beliefs and competitive activities they are in.That shows their childrens that the parents belief in them and that they can do every thing they try.Another great thing that the chinese parents do its not to praise their childs alot because if they do then their childs will become lazy and they will not try enough on their activities because they will always know that their parents are their for them when they do something unhappy and bad for their parents.so by showing them that they care about them once in a while it will make the childrens feel like they are not working hard enough to make their parents feel proud of them.I believe that by saying emotional comments that can hurt your childs feelings can be a good thing and a bad thing because they can make feel their childs feel unwortless and not hard working kids so that will make them feel so disgrace ans bad that they will try enough to become better and succesful at the things they are bad in.Another great thing about chinese parentings is not allowing their childs to get distracted of the outside society which i mean of the bad things like bad friends and boyfriends/girlfriends and drugs/alcohol and parties that just bring up bad obedience and influence to them that will lead them to a horrible situation at life with no sucess and no future.

On the other hand i really dont like the fact that the chinese parents decide the childs life because they make their choices and they rule them by telling them what thingsto do and what not to do.I totally disagree in here beacuse i dont think that its right for the parents to choose their childs living because that makes their childs feel boring because that can not be their interestsbecause they may have another interest.I get that parents always try to choose the best future for their childs but they should just let them be and choose on their on then when they are actually messing up on theri own thyen they should interfier and help them.Another thing i dont like its those rude mean comments that make their childs feel unworthless and disgrace.I say this because somethimes many childs take it as the real meaning of the comments and they get to emotional that they can hut themselves by feeling like S*** or garbage....(sorry) but its true.....


I think that Freud's theory has something related to this article because she beliefs that childrens receive their personality based on the parenting of your parents and the way they teach their childs.So i think that this 2 things are similar because the chinese childs get their intelligence from the extra pressure and work(practice) that the parents put them to  do  so they become extra better at the things they are lacking.

cultural universals in society....

A cultural Universal that its all around in society is language.I Say this because theirs a lot off people in The American society that speak different languages and they may know how to communicate with others or they may not.If they are struggling communicating with someone they find their way to communicate by doing signs with their hands or by  pointing to things.This is a cultural universal because everyone in society has a language they speak or share with others by having the language in common.

In my work place, there was a Spanish  lady who didn't know how to speak English so when Americans would got buy things at my job she didn't know how to communicate with them so she would tell me to tell them the amount of money they would own or if they had a question i would answer them back.If i wasn't there she would try to make signs to communicate with them.So a cultural universal is taken place at my job because everyone in there have a language that they speak.

Culture Clash Day.... Jk

Today i will be talking about culture clash. Culture class is when two different cultures meet and cannot interact successfully.They will need to relearn that culture in order to become successful to interact with each others.This is a term that i learned this week at my class of sociology.Well an example of a culture class is when the Hispanics come to America and they need to learn the American culture in order to become successfully in America and to be able to succeed.Also they have to cooperate with each others to learn the American culture for example they need to learn the Americans language in order to communicate with the people in America also they need to be part of the American culture so they aren't seen as strangers and weirdos or making themselves part of an out group. Also if the Hispanics follow some traditions or beliefs/ideas of the American culture they can become part of in group.By Hispanics cooperating and the Americans too by working together and helping each others on their struggles they can both make everything easier  for each others and get along and become friends so both cultures interact with each others and become successfully at America.

This example i gave relates to my class of sociology because theirs two cultures that are cooperating to interact with each other to become successful, but  if they don't do nothing then they will never get along and their will be problems everywhere and disagreements in both cultures.

While sitting on the bus next to a weird Kid......

Everyday i would go on the bus to school when i was a child. There was this weird kid  in the bus that would do  crazy, weird things that would  even gross out other children.I still remember his name, his name was Chris and he was like three years younger than me.Well this weird kid would always be eating his boogers on  the bus and it was so disturbing and gross (nasty)seeing him.I remember that he liked this one girl at the bus and he would still do it in front of her and he really didn't cared.Well the thing is that he would always eat his boogers on public no matter if people would see him.I also remember that i would scare him by telling him "Hey christian, Don't eat your boogers because them you will have worms at your stomach," He wouldn't cared or listened to me because he would still do it.Even the girl he liked would tell him that, that was so gross and that, that was so bad for his health but he would only ignore.Also this weird kid would make weird noises on the bus and he would reacted all crazy and started laughing by himself.

Well the whole purpose of writing this story was because i wanted to say that the actions of this child in my bus were all folkways because he would do crazy, weird ,gross things in society that would make the people around him feel disturbed and gross out but with out a harm on them because he would only affect himself by looking totally out of a group and by looking as a weird outstanding person that does nasty things that doesn't make him look good in society.This is related to my Sociology class because we earned about Folkways and Norms and Taboos and other things that are actions of people that make them break one of this terms.For example in my story this child Chris was breaking a Folkway because he was eating his boogers in public on the bus and he was doing weird noises and actions on the bus.

5 symbols that Represent the American Society........

One of the most recognizable American symbol is the American Uncle Sam. He stands there in his American Flag outfit pointing at Americans to get involved and active by joining the Army to fight for the Country.Uncle sam has an important thing to all americans because he wants the Americans to fight for their country and to never give up on fighting for their rights and freedoms.Also he wants to Show the American Pride.

This is an American symbol because its states that no matter what Race or Religion or culture you are , Everyone should have an opportunity to sucessed in America especially children because they need an  education.Because they are the ones that will run our future and gives us  hope for America.

 

Mcdonalds is another symbol that represents the American Society because America is the biggest country with Obese people.We are known for eating large amounts of unhealthy foods.Mcdonalds is one of the most famous fast food restaurants in our country because of their low prices and good service.

Jersey Shore is a popular show in America today.Jersey shore represents the style of the Teen Living in america and its portrayed as a bad picture as Americans.This show is watched mostly by teenagers and children and they receive bad influences and info that can lead them to do things that they really dont want to do.People may argue that shows like these should not be in T.V. because it represents a BAD AMERICAN SOCIETY.

Facebook is a social network that is used by millions of Americans, Also it is one of the most famous social network in america today.Facebook gathers many people to keep in touch with each other and meet many other from different places that become friends.Facebook represents america because its a social network that gathers many different types of groups of different societies to become part of one group or be become friends or become part of one whole society.

Silly Rubberbands AWESOME....

Remember those silly shape rubber bands?Omg, when i first saw them i thought they were cool.So right away i went to the jewel to get some because they were cool looking and i wanted one sense everyone had one.I showed them around to my friends and they would show me theres or we would even exchange.That's  how crazy and excited we where.Most of the students in school had them as well and they would exchange with others that even the teachers would get mad that they would be playing around with them and they would even criticize us for having them.Like one of my teacher said, Omg, you guys are High schoolers not toddlers for having those silly rubber bands.We would reply to her well their cool.But she wouldn't get it,she would still say you guys are not kids..But no one listen to her because no one cared about her comments..

This story is related to my class of sociology because we talked about many new vocabulary words that describe our society and things in society.So one word that its so related to this is FAD because Fad is a Unusual behavior that is spread easily or fast but disappears so quickly that no one knows when its gone.So the Unusual behavior that was spread at society for a little period of time was the silly rubber bands because they were in for a month or so and no one even got to know when they were out of sale or out of this society.They were completely gone and no one has them no more not even me.But i still have them....They were awesome.

At work i feel so left out :(

Omg,  I think it feels horrible to feel left out of an group.I say this because i experince this at my job  all the time because before i just to work alot an now i bearly work, plus once i get back to work  from a day or two days off i completely feel left out and unfamiliar on whats going on at work.Like on tuesday i worked and then on wednesday and thursday i have it off and back to work on friday, so on friday i feel like so diffent from others plus i feel left out sense it has been 48 hours off work. I think that by experincing this i am like an out group person and the other person that have been working all days off the week are the ingroup person sense they know exactly whats going on at my job and they know what to do.But for me its so different because each day you do something different.

My experince at work is related to sociology because we are learning about Groups and i am relating my self as an outgroup sense i am like left out at my job for not knowing whats going on and for not working alot and then the in groups of my job are those who actually know whats going on at work and they have been working all days of the week.

Fear Factor....

Have you watched the show called "Fear Factor"? Fear Factor is the show where many different kind of people from different places meet up in a place to assist on the show that its all about competing by doing scary freaky things that they think people are afraid to do them so they go home instead of trying the challenges to win lots of money.Well yesterday I was watching this show and I notice that the people in the show are part of a INTEREST GROUP sense they are competing to accomplish a goal of winning lots of money.Also they are cooperative members of that interest group sense they are individuals that combine efforts to achieve their goal which in this show everyones goal is to beat everyone else to win the money that they offer at the show for competing.

Well i related this show to my class of sociology because we are talking about many different types of groups and vocab words that describe them.So in the Fear Factor i found out that the people who participate in their are part of a interest Group and they are described as Cooperative sense they are trying hard to achieve a goal.

PUZZLES ARE FUN.............

Have you ever Formed a Puzzle? If so you know, how fun and frustrating it is.Well in my childhood i just to formed puzzles with my family and we would formed those puzzles that would contain like 500 or 1000 pieces which where the hardest ones but we would still tried to formed them.By the way we did formed one of 1000 pieces but it took us like months to finish it.We finished it by dedicating all our time to it and by working together as a family.Everyone had a part of the puzzle to formed it sense we had the colors and shades separated so we would connect everything at last and to make it easier for us.Also we would follow the print of the image to help us have an idea where each piece would connect to and to make it easier.

This life story connects to my class of sociology because we formed a puzzle acouple days ago and we would followed up some strategies as a group in order to formed that puzzle.The same strageties i used with my family i used them with my teamates in my class.The strategies that we used where working together as teamates and friends and being social to each other and communicating as well, to help each other.Also we would follow the print of the image and the pattern of the light.I think that if you work as a group with some other people it makes it easier to formed what ever it needs to be build up or be constructed.Being social with others makes it easier and being happy by having them by your side and by not feeling felt out or lonely.So find a friend to be with or to help them on building a friendship  or a puzzle.

Government Bill connected to Jane Adams!!!!!

Have you ever assist to a government assimilation? If so, you know how entertaining it is.Well in High school we take the class of government and so you get to learn how the government process works.In that class you have to create a bill or lets say a Law to see if the other people agree with you or not and also hear their arguments and opinions that they make.These arguments can be counterarguments or for your bill. Depending on the  people decision this bill can be passed or fail.Well so sadly my bill didnt passed because our bill was about Equal Rights For Women and so many Men in the Assimilation Disagreed or other people just would make arguments Like " Why would we pass a bill like this if their is already equal rights for Women!'' Which based on my research i disagreed with many peoples counterarguments because they just didnt get it that women are not equal as men because they get lower wages than man and also they tend to not have the same opportunities like men.So in the Government assimilation my group and I would protest or we would fight  againt those who disagreed with our bill,  so this is related to jane Addams because she would do the same thing to  fight to defend the  womens  rights.

My connection to the sociology class right know is that we are learning about many Old people who are sociologists that made a study in  sociology or they  know something about sociology.Well the person i choose was Jane Addams and she was fighting for the Rights of women as well as Susan B.Anthony and Alice paul and many others.Well my connection to the Government class to sociology is that in Government my bill was about Equal rights for Womens and thats related to the Protests and the arguments that Jane Addams made to  put an end  to The womens Suffrage and make it happened that all women should be Equal as men and that's the same arguments that we would make in the government assiimilation.So I as a women like Jane addams,  we waneted the Same rights for women to be equal as Men.

My name is Brenda,  I am 17 yrs old and I was born in Mexico, Guanajuato.I am a senior this year at High School. And I am a very quiet, shy person.Also i am a really nice, friendly person. I like to meet up new people every day.On my spear time i like to watch T.V or do creative things like coloring pictures or drawing. The biggest influences of my life are my Mom and My older Brother.I say this because these two persons are always helping me on my struggles and they help me succeed by pushing me to go to the right direction.Also they had tought me many things in this life that tell me whats good and what's bad.Also these family members always make me happy and they are always there for me. They are my role models and my biggest influences.My goals are to become very succesfull in life and get a well pay job that will help me succeed.BUt to accomplish this goals I first have to go to college which thats another goal i have in mind.
